To all our referring vets - our patient case reports are now issued by email only. You can of course print hard copies locally when you receive our report. New Consulting Schedule

Dr Cass Prpich Chief Surgical Resident at Specialist Veterinary Hospital Melbourne

Our Chief Surgical Resident Dr Cassie Prpich takes on a new schedule from next week with PM consultations by referral (Tues - Thursday) and AM surgeries (Tues - Friday) and PM surgery Friday. In addition Cass will see patients for consults by appointment on Saturday mornings as well. Please contact our reception for details (03) 9553 1775.

Cassie graduated from the University of Melbourne on the Deans Honour’s list in 2008. In 2012 Cassie achieved membership to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Internal Medicine Chapter. Cassie has a special interest in surgical oncology, neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery.

Free Seminar Series for Veterinarians

In conjunction with Royal Canin pet food company Southpaws is pleased to announce a series of free evening seminars for veterinarians in 2013. The seminar series are being held throughout Victoria at 5 convenient locations. Two topics are explored in this series - the diagnosis and treatment of forelimb lameness in mature dogs including trends in stem cell therapy and practical approaches to stifle surgery in dogs.
