Admissions form to Southpaws specialist veterinarians

Veterinary Referral Form to Southpaws Specialty Surgery for Animals

The Referral Process

Patients are seen by our surgery team or our Internal Medicine Practitioner after referral from a primary care vet. We have two convenient locations - see below.
Surgical consults by referral are free of charge - internal medicine consultations are fee-paying. We perform surgery Monday to Saturdays but we are staffed 24 / 7 / 365; including for out-of-hours emergency referrals.
Patients are discharged usually 24 - 48 hours after surgery. The night before the consultation, pets should be fasted. Diabetic patients should receive guidance from their primary care vets. Water is OK right up until the time of surgery. Please watch this video for an overview of some of our admission procedures.

;

After your pet's surgery or internal medicine treatment we will see your pet again regularly to check progress or will direct you back to your primary care veterinarian for check ups.
